It all started when…
Several years ago I found myself in the role of Trustee after a family member became unable to care for herself. I realized that the bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities of a Trustee were time-consuming and potentially burdensome to many. Although I greatly enjoyed learning the Trust Accounting process, I realized that not every Trustee loves numbers nor does he or she revel in the puzzle-solving nature of Trust Accounting.
About Me
I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University in 1982 with a double degree in Economics and French Literature. I worked in the asset management and securities industries for seven years, earning my CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation in 1985. My husband started an asset management business in 1987, and until the demands of our young family became too great, I helped him with his business accounting.
I have worked as the bookkeeper for a General Contractor for twenty years while raising our three sons, so when I fell into the role of Trustee I found that the accounting aspects of Trust work came naturally to me. I was able to complete the Trust Accounting work quickly and joyfully.
